“The Victory Swing” honors the sacrifice, dedication, and valor of the men and women who lived, fought, and died during the Second World War. Known as the "Greatest Generation" they're story is one the deserves to be remembered, told, and retold.
A TIME FOR LOVE, A TIME FOR WAR
During WWII, marriage rates skyrocketed. In England alone, Over 60,000 G.I.’s married british women. However, these new marriages were immediately put to the test as young soldiers left for combat, many never to return. The soldiers and their “War Brides” not only faced the physical dangers of bombs, bullets, and death, but also the emotional struggle of separation, hopelessness, and despair, something the Service Members still face today. “The Victory Swing” highlights this struggle, asking, “Can love survive the most destructive war in history?” Inspired by true stories of God's provision, peace, and love, The Victory Swing shows that it is only by trusting in God that faith, hope, and love can triumph through darkness, bringing complete Victory.

SYNOPSIS
Sam, an idealistic young American GI, and Joyce, a British rose gifted with a beautiful singing voice, meet in a London dance hall in 1944. Shocking the locals with his larger-than-life personality, Sam nonetheless wins over Joyce with his indomitable charms. Dreaming of having a family and a farm in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Sam and Joyce get married just before Sam’s unit is shipped off to storm the beaches of Normandy on D-Day.
Separated by the war, their faith and young marriage is put to the ultimate test. On the home front, Joyce sings for wounded soldiers in the hospital, praying that Sam will return home alive. At the front lines, Sam experiences the horrors of battle. One by one his friends are killed, burying his hope under the wreckage of war and pushing his faith to the breaking point. But, when he hears his wife’s voice singing to him over the radio, Sam’s hope is revived. In a final act of strength and courage, Sam carries a wounded comrade across a minefield under enemy fire, shouting out Scripture verses as protection against shells and shrapnel exploding above and below.
Across the English Channel, nearing war’s end, as Sam and Joyce seek to reunite, they find that God is faithful indeed, beyond measure, as love and hope triumphs over the darkness.
